What we are going to do today is ask six questions about everything. I mean all of creation. Where did everything come from? We see this wonderful, and vast and huge, and beautiful creation all around us... so let's ask the five W's plus an "H" question. In fact, in the previous two messages on Genesis, which were back in March when Chris was away. So in those two previous messages all we covered was Genesis chapter one, verse one. “Who do you chose... Darwin or Jesus? Who are you going to trust? Who are you going to believe when it comes to Genesis? A correct understanding of Genesis is critical if you are going to understand the rest of scripture. If you choose Darwin, you have to find ways to add to scripture. Scripture as originally revealed does not allow for millions of years between Genesis 1:1 and verse 2. Or choose Jesus and read scripture simply for what it plainly says.

Building The Stage On Which God Will Be Glorified

Genesis 1 is a historical narrative. Although it touches on science, it is providing a historical record of what God did. It's historical record describing the origin of our existence. It is describing God as He builds the stage on which He will glorify Himself. The Bible is all about God revealing who He is, the uncreated creator. God simply speaks everything into existence. He is the One who made everything and that means He owns everything, including you. God is the powerful, majestic, creative artist who creates, and everything He creates is good and perfect.
